The Jamaica Bobsleigh Federation (JBF) Ltd. is the governing body for the sport of bobsleigh and skeleton in Jamaica. It was first constituted in 1987 in preparation for the 1988 Olympic Games and is a member, in good standing, of the Jamaica Olympic Association (JOA) and the Fédération International de Bobsleigh et de Tobogganing (FIBT). The Jamaica Bobsleigh Federation Ltd. is incorporated in Jamaica as a company limited by guarantee.

1. Mission Statement

To create an, administrative, training, competitive, and regulatory environment within which the sport may be developed locally and teams may compete successfully internationally.

The Federation also recognises the special place that Jamaica Bobsleigh has in international sport and as goodwill ambassadors for Jamaica. It is therefore committed to such other activities as will enhance the team’s presence internationally and contribute to the enhancement of Jamaica both locally and abroad.

2. Administration

The administration of the JBF is divided into three categories:

1. The Congress, which is the legislative body of the JBF and as such the supreme authority.
2. The Executive Committee, which is the executive body of the Federation.
